Situated on Besant Nagar 2nd Avenue, just before the Krishna sweets this building holds another joint venture of Sam Paul’s group.
It’s a small place; but it is quite a cozy joint. The Jute on the ceiling softens the ambiance, and lights that reflect off shiny flower embossed wall paper. The ambiance is warm and welcoming with a brick house tavern theme. There is different seating so one can choose the comfortable area to dine in.
Hustle free parking space considering you have 2 wheeler since the restaurant is located on a small lane there is no much spacing for cars.
I been to all the Jonah’s outlet in Chennai and what is coincidental is their menu style which has a hint of European Cuisine. The menu has an extensive set of Soup, starters, thrilling Main dishes and subtle desserts which has been designed to offer you something all day long. the large Continental menu conceptualized by ‘mad Chef’ Kaushik.
#Panko Chicken with Chilli Mayo – it’s a crumb fried chicken accompanied by the delicious Chilli mayo dip, if you like crispy skin chicken this can be your choice.
#Grilled Chicken Wings – The best part of this dish is you can choose your Marinade they have options like Barbeque, Pineapple Chilli, Chilli garlic and lava marinade. We choose BBq it was heavenly like it looked on the plate, watch out! #yourhandswillgetdirty
#Creamy Chicken Stroganoff – A plate full of mystery! As we start digging in the dish, each layer had different filling which had a base of butter rice topped with grilled veggies, diced chicken and spooned off in sapid white cream.
#Chicken Parmiggina – We love crumb fried chicken so we ordered this dish which had a base of crumb fried chicken with a layer of tomato and melted parmesan served with a portion of spaghetti and veggies. The chicken tasted different from the normal crumb fried loved the way how it has been presented within a few minutes the plated went clean!#thatdelicious
#Grilled Chicken – My personal favourite, I will not share this with anyone! Yummy grilled chicken breast in mushroom sauce (option of sauce are available) served with Mash potatoes and veggies you can replace the sides with rice, bread or fries. # Perfectmeal
#Penne Pasta in white sauce – quite a disappointment, the dish looked solid like not the pasta consistency so sent it back to the kitchen to add more sauce and it tasted better then.
# Ferrero rocher shake – A tall glass filled with extreme chocolate mix and cream, ot was okish I dint feel anything delight.
#oreo shake – much expectation when we ordered this drink which sadly disappointed and I haven’t felt any variant in both the shakes we ordered.
I’m a big fan of Bakers street ,To my surprise Jonah’s is partnered with Pondicherry-based Baker’s Street to take care of the pastries, breads and desserts that are available at all Jonah’s outlets.
Meal for two at approximately Rs. 700.
The staffs seems to be serving with smile and very courteous.
Happy Eating ! 🙂
