Courtyard By Marriott has put together various Street Food Delicacies of Chennai under a single roof by hosting A food Festival which is wholly dedicated to re-create the Famous street foods in Chennai which is headed By Chef Justin Jacob who is a Head chef at Marriott.
I was one among the fellow bloggers intivited for the preview of the Food festival. Below is my take on the Food and everything Else.
The Ambience of paprika Cafe has turned into a mini Food Street from Paan to Lassi shop everything was planned and exhibited perfectly which really went well With the theme of the festival.
The festival focus on the Major Street Food of Chennai such as mylapore, Sowcarpet, T. Nagar, Triplicate & Marina.
FROM THE STREETS OF SOWCARPET :
There was 3 variant to Dhokla and everything Tasted pretty Good.
#Vadapav #MurukkuSandwich #AlooTikki
I loved the flavors except the fact murruku Sandwich lacked the originality.
#Jalebi #laddu #Jangiri #Badusha
Laddu And Jalebi was my favorite of all the sweets, nothing beats piping Hot Jalebis.
#Samosa #Alootikki #Kachorichat
The live counter bought the enthusiasm of being in a crowded street and waiting for the turn to order Garam Garam samosas.
I liked both the chats, the fresh Curd and other ingredients bought out the sweet and spicy flavors well.
This was the star dish and probably most ordered Dish . while the chole was delicious, the batura was less oily and prepared right from the scratch on orders.
FROM THE STREETS Of MARINA & TRIPLICANE
The first thing comes to our mind when we think of Marina us #Bajji #Vadai #FishFry #Squidfry.
The bajji and the day Vada was rightly done and it gave the perfect taste.
The fish should have not been fried deeply but the squid was Crispy and fresh.
#biriyani for life
The flavors of the biriyani was rich and Delicious. The Mutton prices was cooked to perfection.
FROM THE STREETS OF T. NAGAR
The Mutton sulla had a lot of garlic and onions to it and less lamb peices, it was spicy and a good combo to dosa.
FROM THE STREETS OF MYLAPORE
#tamrindrice #Lemonrice #idli #Vadacurry
Tamrind rice tasted pretty good, the combination of Papa balanced the dish.
Yumm! It was Crispy and the chutney went really well with it, eating the paniyaram hot is the best thing about this dish.
